PerioLase MVP-7 Dental Laser is a dental laser created by Millennium Dental Technologies. This laser is unique in its ability to perform various soft tissue treatments with high precision. It is specifically engineered to target the bacteria and infected tissue associated with gum disease while preserving healthy tissue. The MVP-7 laser uses Ndtechnology (Neodymium-doped Yttrium Aluminum Garnet), which allows it to operate at a wavelength that is highly effective in targeting pigmented tissues such as inflamed gums.

The first digitally pulsed dental laser. It features seven user-selectable digital pulse durations (pulse widths)—100, 150, 250, 350, 450, 550, and 650 μsec—for optimum performance in treating a wide range of tissue phenotypes.

Short pulse durations are ideal for ablating soft or fibrous tissues, while longer pulse durations are best for titrating hemostasis to control moderate-to-heavy bleeding. Pulse duration flexibility allows for the optimized performance of LANAP and LAPIP treatment, creating a clean, closed, stable fibrin clot, allowing healing to begin.
